The RFA Class of 1969 55th Reunion is now a very pleasant memory for all those who attended.  Turnout was strong, peeking at 83 for the "The Main Event".  We even had two alum come all the way from California, Martin Birnie and Valerie Giambona.  Thanks to the decorative design genius of Bonnie Bole Goetz the hall looked magnificent, festooned in black and orange from floor to ceiling.

The informal and relaxed atmosphere of the Stanwix's Mens Club was enthusiastically embraced.  It paid off too as the 55th ended up being one of the lowest cost reunions we've ever had.

As always, Anthony Joseph did a superb job as MC.  He had us all in stitches.  Jimmy Fallon could not have done a better job.  Not only can Anthony MC he can croon as well, serving up a rousing rendition of Sinatra's classic New York, New York, changing the lyrics of the chorus from "New York, New York" to Rome, New York.

A special shoutout to Pat "Buzz" Guida for the heroic effort it took for him to attend.  Fresh off a fishing trip to Canada his flight from Montreal was cancelled.  Rather than surrender to unfortunate circumstance our intrepid hero rented a car and drove all the way from Montreal.  Now that's a loyal son of RFA!

There will be another major Class of '69 event prior to the 60th reunion.  In 2026 most of us will be turning 75 years old (shudder).  The committee plans to throw a collective birthday bash to celebrate.  All pertinent info regarding this will be posted on this website.  We are looking for some feedback.  Our thought is that perhaps we should hold our events in the early fall rather than the summer since so many other things such as weddings, graduations vacations, etc. take place in the summer.  The thinking is that Fall scheduling should reduce the potential for competing demands and allow more alumni to attend.  TELL US WHAT YOU THINK!  Send your email to josephus47@aol.com.  In the subject line write "Events Timing".
